The KS7 is listed with a 5.9 lg empty weight and the KSG is 6.9 lbs empty. The Kel-Tec reps at SHOT have said that there is a 2 pound difference loaded between the two. The KS7 handle almost fits the KSG. It would take some modification to fit.

The KSG's more complex double magazine and shell release system was/is more prone to feed problems. The early KSG guns had a number of issues that Kel-Tec corrected on the run.

The clearance problem is in the design of the KSG vs the KS7. Both mag tubes on the KSG are set to the side of the barrel on the KSG while the mag tube on the KS7 is directly below the barrel on the KS7. This makes the mag tube of the KS7 a little closer to the barrel than the mag tubes on the KSG.
